Scottoiler - Lube Tube
This 200ml capacity flexible reservoir offers a "fittings-free" alternative to our Magnum HCR, and gives you enough oil for about 3000 miles of riding! It is highly flexible and pliable - small enough to tuck into dead space on any bike! The "Lube Tube" has been designed as an add-on to the Mk7 Universal Scottoiler for those of you who are short of space or do not need the full Magnum HCR capacity.
A natural extension to the Scottoiler range, this flexible reservoir is suitable for all chain driven motorcycles, offering an alternative to our High Capacity Reservoir (HCR). It is highly flexible and pliable - small enough to tuck into dead space on any bike!
The Lube Tube is a ‘plug and play' addition to your existing Scottoiler system, giving an additional 200ml capacity - between 2000 and 3000 miles is guaranteed * - ideal for that touring holiday, or if you just want to refill your system less often.
* Standard RMV has range of 400-800 miles, dependant on setting.
Simple to install:-
- Fill the Lube Tube with Scottoil.
- Squeeze out excess air.
- Connect the new filler plug and siphon tubing to your existing RMV. The two twist lock connectors couldn't be easier!
- Check your flow adjustment, 1 to 2 drops per minute is recommended.
- You may have to increase the flow setting by 1 number on the adjustment settings. (Turn adjustment approximately 5 or 6mm clockwise, only if necessary.)
Push the Lube Tube inside the seat cowling, or slide it inside a side panel - leaving valuable underseat storage area free for the things you want access to frequently - waterproofs, toolkits, alarms, etc. and away you go. (Cable ties and mounting sleeves are also supplied in the kit if you want to fix the Lube Tube securely.)
Using a Lube Tube also allows you to mount the RMV completely horizontally - increasing fitting options. (Endcap diameter of Lube Tube 35mm, overall flexible length 375mm)
